New box dropping WiFi

My new virgin 360 box keeps dropping wifi and needs the box rebooting.

There is nothing wrong with the wifi as the TV says it is still connected.

Also no instructions available. I am not PSYCHIC!

[MOD EDIT: Subject title changed for clarity]

Re: New box dropping WiFi

Hey, when you say dropping wifi what do you mean? Do you get an error message on screen that tells you to reboot?

How far from the Virgin Broadband Hub is your box? Could you connect via Ethernet?

Re: New box dropping WiFi

Also, re the instructions; did you have an engineer come to install or did you do it yourself?
There should be a mini guide.

Re: New box dropping WiFi

Yes, I get a message on the screen asking me to reboot. I requested an engineer to install it but they didn't send one . I installed it myself.

The router is upstairs and the TV is downstairs. It is connected to the Router by ethernet mains connection boxes which I already owned. I did not receive any guide.

Re: New box dropping WiFi

If it's connecting via Ethernet how is it dropping WiFi?
Can you remove those boxes and actually connect to the WiFi? We need to understand if the issue is with them or the box.
