New TV 360 Box won’t connect

Was meant to have the new 360 box installed today but the engineer couldn’t get it to connect. 7 hours later I’m still on the phone trying to troubleshoot with a Virgin technician to get it connected but it still won’t work. I haven’t been able to work today and no sign of it getting revolved. Need to spend hours on hold just to get through to anyone. Any ideas on how I can get the box working? Best option at the moment seems to move to Sky
