Iv had this new virgin media box a few weeks now and I only today tried to link the tv remote with the virgin box (much more convenient than a tower of remotes). The problem I'm having is the tv has a full list of Humax boxs but not this model. Is this model 1008R a relatively new box? And is anyone else come across this problem?

Try using Ziggo as the manufacturer and if you need a model it's MediaBox Next.

Ziggo is the Dutch version of Virgin, both part of Liberty Global.

Sometimes the TV's accept "Ziggo", other times it's "Ziggo Mediabox Next"

My LG accepts both, amd my TV also accepts Virgin, but with the Virgin option I don't have as many options for controlling the 360.

I have the same problem with a Samsung Crystal UHD. Can you help me to link my remote to Humax 1008R?

You have mentioned a Samsung TV and also a Humax remote, but not any Virgin equipment here.

Can you confirm that you are a Virgin Media customer?
