How to connect TV set with Tv360 box in different room?

Hi all,

My wall socket is in my study room. And my TV set is in my living room. I installed Hub in study room.

I don't want to install new wall socket in my living room.

1. Could I connect TV360 box with Hub only via wifi (without coax in connection)?

or.

2. Could I remote connect Tv set with TV360 box? While TV360 box connect with Hub via wifi or ethernet and coax cable.

or

other solution could help me to connect TV set with TV 360 box in different room?

Re: How to connect TV set with Tv360 box in different room?

Hello

Number 1 isn't possible as all Virgin-media TV boxes require a coaxial cable to get the signal from the Virginmedia network.

For number 2 to work you would have to use some form of HDMI sender to send the data from the TV box to the TV, something like https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ex-Pro%C2%AE-Wireless-Transmitter-Receiver-Control/dp/B077XJT76L

Regards Mike

Re: How to connect TV set with Tv360 box in different room?

Simple. Virgin Media sell cable TV. The TV channels are sent over the co-ax cable.

The internet connection is for the apps, guide updates and on demand.

Isn't the network also to update the entitlements/access on the box too?

Re: How to connect TV set with Tv360 box in different room?

Virgin is a BROADCAST TV platform. TV is transmitted through the cable in the same format as Satellite & Terrestrial TV is transmitted. Therefore the TV boxes receive all the channels all the time, hence you can record 6 channels at once (or multiples of 6 if you have additional boxes) without using your (or Virgins) Broadband capacity in the process.

VM BB TV Landline PAYG mobile. Freeview/Freesat HD, Tesco Mobile. Customer since 1993
