Have virgin given up on UHD?

There’s no news on the UHD films or sport from sky and there’s been no UHD content on demand from there own UHD channel. It’s the same rubbish all the time.

Some of the films say 4K but it’s clear there not. Any news would be appreciated

coming from sky it’s a real disappointment. As I was told there would be more now seven months in with virgin and really thinking of moving back.

Re: Have virgin given up on UHD?

I'm beginning to wonder myself after it was promised almost 2 years ago now.

Somebody posted in December that there would be an announcement soon but we still wait.

Re: Have virgin given up on UHD?

The lack of information from Virgin Media makes me mad.

It would have been fantastic to have had it during the lockdown.

Re: Have virgin given up on UHD?

It's been awhile now that a selection of movies have been classed as UHD but are actually just HD.

Re: Have virgin given up on UHD?

Sky was supposed to have provided Sky Sports and movies in UHD in 2020 but it hasn't happened. It would be good to know why.

Re: Have virgin given up on UHD?

It would indeed but as usual, no communication with the customers.

Re: Have virgin given up on UHD?

You get the all new singing, dancing

V360 box and still no UHD content , they then wonder why Netflix seem to be taking over the TV world at least everything is in HD and a good amount in UHD

Re: Have virgin given up on UHD?

I've been thinking of getting the 360 box. Are they still charging a £35 activation fee? I'd rather have the over the air upgrade than new boxes.

Re: Have virgin given up on UHD?

I spoke with customer services today. I was told £24.95 per box. I currently have two B6 boxes and am on ultimate Oomph.
Then I asked about including a third box and was told that would be another £75 and £10 added to my monthly ddr.
