HDMI port blocked

Our V6 to 360 upgrade was working perfectly yesterday. This morning, the box would not wake up from the remote. Unplugged it from the wall and back again and it rebooted. Got the welcome screen, then the please wait screen and then nothing. Did a bit of investigation and then noticed that the input source menu did not show the port that the HDMI cable is plugged into. So all the inputs should be listed - tuner, rear input, HDMI 1, HDMI 2, VGA - but if the cable is plugged into HDMI 1, that input disappears from the list and vice versa. Same with HDMI 2. Have tried 2 different HDMI cables and the tech support have done various hit signals from their end, but it looks like once it’s rebooted, the HDMI signal then dies. It’s a 1080P Panasonic TV so nothing flashy. Does it sound like a dodgy box?

If as a V6 everything worked, and also worked ok as a 360 until now then it looks like a faulty box, have you also tried anything else connected to the HDMI ports, does a blu ray work on HDMI 1 ?
