Hi all,
Is there a place for enhancement requests please ?, actually, this to cure the "loss of functionality" from upgrading to VM360 which I would like restored please:
1. Radio Stations - I need the radio guide back please, as I can no longer record my favourite radio show.
2. Remote control - Either enable Infrared or allow more than one handset to Bluetooth connect to a single box (or both), we should have same or more flexibility
3. Allow the ability to plug in a USB hard drive into my Satellite boxes, so I can record programs on each box. Currently, other family members can hog recordings and fill up the HDD, whereas previously, I had 3 times the recording capacity (1TB on each box) and had full control over each hard drive
Positively the channels change much faster and the voice control is really good on the whole except, if I say "Radio 4 Extra", it just goes to Radio 4. Can this be resolved please ???
Cheers
TK

Radio is no longer fed down the coax cable to the 360 it's only provided using the apps and internet connection so cannot be recorded.
You can also pair a second universal remote to the 360, the one for all URC7125 seems to be a popular choice or the URC1240 it's a bit cheaper than the 7125 and can pair 4 devices.
If your TV has a smart remote you might be able to pair that to the 360 box, my LG smart remote is paired to the 360 using Ziggo Set-Top box. The 360 remote is RF where the universal remotes are IR.

1: I've a feeling there is a historic reason for the radio channels being on the EPG, which applied to the original TiVo and potentially the V6 - my fellow VIP @nodrogd might be able to expand on this. Certainly recordable radio is not part of the TV360's feature set and that's not going to change.

You're raising 2 issues here.
1: External storage, not going to happen. VM's licensing - extended to your contract - is for short-term timeshifting of recordings, not long-term storage. Recordings have never been transferable and have always been HDD-specific.
2: Recording on different boxes. Fundamentally TV360 is designed around a single recording pool on one master-box. In other countries, it's cloud-based but in the UK is at least HDD-based. If you've converted multiple V6 into TV360-masters, you can mitigate this and retain the extra storage, but any box replacements would be to HDD-less TV360-minis. Any legacy TiVo are replaced with miniboxes as a matter of course.
There are some menu options under the recording settings you can use to manually set recordings onto an additional master-box, but ultimately TV360 is designed for pooling recordings centrally.
New customers don't get a choice in TV360 since a few years now, existing customers on TiVo/V6 can keep that and conversions are 100% voluntary at this time.

As far as item 1 is concerned there was no requirement in the Horizon TV platform development for radio recording. It is Liberty Global's product (Virgin's parent company) & was developed for the rest of it's existing cable operations in Europe that since analogue switch off a couple of decades ago no longer carry radio as linear channels. Hence we have Radioline & BBC Sounds apps as a replacement. These apps will not work on the older 500Gb TiVO boxes, hence our linear radio remains to service these boxes. Virgin have developed a background app to allow reception of the linear channels into V360 boxes for the time being, but it's likely they will be removed in the not too distant future.
As far as point 3, not only is there a restriction of the time shifting rule. You also rent the TV box, hence it remains Virgin property, along with anything you have recorded on it. Recording of HD channels is now tightly controlled by most broadcasters to prevent illegal copying & sale of recorded material. The only TV platform that allows USB recording is Freeview, & on this only the PSB channels are in HD.

Thanks all, for the thorough answers
ive got my LG remote to control the virgin360 using Ziggo although, for anyone trying it, the only time I knew it was working, was when I clicked into the ‘try next code’ option and it changed the channel, so pay attention. Once I pressed okay it worked much better
I’m presuming that the voice recognition will not work on the LG remote ??? So I might just stick with the virgin360 controller instead … at least I don’t have to use both remotes which is the main thing - cheers
