Do I HAVE to subscribe to the Oomph package for the 360 box?

Do I HAVE to subscribe to the Oomph package for the 360 box?

Just been on the phone with Virgin and I’m shocked at the lack of loyalty

I currently have 4 boxes on ‘Maxit TV’ - M350 broadband and a phone. I’ve been a customer for 15 years and cannot even get the latest 360 box or Hub 4.

Is there no other option to get the newer boxes? or is it just best to up and leave for Sky?

Virgin haven't fully launched the 360 platform for all customers yet. All new customers get 360 and existing customers upgrading to Ultimate Oomph can get it.

The next stage will be to allow more existing customers to opt for 360, but that's not available just yet.

Also be aware that for 360 it's a maximum of 3 STBs, so you'll have to drop one of your existing boxes if or when you go to 360.

Also the Hub 4 is really for Gig1 customers only at the moment as it included DOCSIS 3.1 support. Some other customers get it where Virgin Media identify it can help manage the cable network performance in an area, but from a customer perspective the Hub 3 and Hub 4 do the same thing.

Re: Do I HAVE to subscribe to the Oomph package for the 360 box?

That’s understandable, thanks for your reply.

I was actually being put through to accounts specialists while I posted this message, but the call disconnected after around 20 minutes of waiting.

Should I not bother calling them back? Or is there a a chance they’ll give me a bligh and upgrade me without getting the Uumph package?

thanks your your advice.

If you currently have V6 boxes - why would you want to down grade the firmware to a TV360?

The boxes are the same.

^ agree. why the urgency to upgrade when it seems from posts on here there is plenty to iron out with the 360 firmware
