Hi community,
Currently have M350 Broadband only, and looking to get Virgin 360 added to my package. Line to property installed in 2020 so the wall socket is a new, plug in powered one.
The TV is the opposite side of the room, more than 3m from both the SH3 and wall socket, and a cable can't easily be run internally (gas fire in the way), though it's on an accessible external wall.
When proceeding on the 'upgrade' options there's a question asking if the 360 box will be less than 3m from the wall socket, if no is selected then an engineer is required at £30. Presumably as the splitter cable is 3m for TV?
So if I went ahead with this £30 engineer visit would they be able to run the extension coax outside the property, next to the wall socket, and then in at the TV? Would estimate to be about 7m of coax cable required. I could fairly easily use a coax cable extension myself (have an SDS drill also) though understand using non-supplied cables is against T&C's and may not perfectly work.
Appreciate any thoughts!
Thanks
