Is it possible to completely disable parental control and pin requests for all channels on a v360 box?
The only time I want to have to enter a pin number is when purchasing something or when I go to a channel that is specifically locked.

You can’t sadly to stop to enter pin on channels depending on the time if it’s before watershed the pin protection is automatic by the government guidance (ofcom). Here is where you can get to the settings on the 360.
Tv360 click on Home> Settings (cog next to recordings) > Parental Controls

No you can't is the short answer.
It's an ofcom requirement, you can download and read the full details Here
Mandatory PIN A compulsory audience protection tool for consumers to restrict access to unsuitable content. This tool cannot be removed by the user and requires a PIN (personal information number) to be entered each time the user accesses the content. The PIN must be chosen by the account holder and allows only those authorised to view the content.

Ah ok. Seems really odd that it's only since I got the 360 box, and never had it happen once on the V6 box

It was originally bought in so that Sky could show out of watershed content on its movie channels. OFCOM have recently extended it to any encrypted channel that wants to show content out of watershed.

Yes indeed bizz, I never had that "feature" on my V6 or Tivo and whatever preceded that. I did of course (on the other boxes) have parental control option and I simply turned it off for watershed stuff. Like you, I kept it on for purchases.
I said so in another thread but my comment was ridiculed.
If it is really an Ofcom requirement, then VM were in breach of regulations prior to my upgrade to 360.
For anyone reading this that is sceptical that I previously (and recently) had the ability to turn parental controls off, check out other threads in this forum; also on other forums.
Strange word "watershed", I wonder where it came from ??

A lot of people think that as only 3 Sky Cinema channels were originally included in OFCOMs MDP. This has now been extended to all the Sky Cinema & entertainment channels, plus any other broadcaster that wants to use it.

Hello .@nodrogd
OFCOMs MDP - What's an MDP ?

Sadly, I think it's more the 360 box's appalling lack of flexibility. Upgraded recently from the ancient TiVo - which was considerably better.
