Change battery error in remote

Gazpics
Tuning in

I’ve seen a lot of this issue posted although not any answer on how to solve it.

We have always used rechargeable aaa batteries in our 360 tv remote. Recently, the change battery notification has appeared every few weeks, even though there is plenty of charge left.

This weekend, the remote stopped working with all my rechargeable batteries except for one set (ironically the oldest and least reliable!)

Any advice on a possible fix or whether a new remote is required would be appreciated.

cheers

Rechargable batteries often cause problems with remote controls as they tend to only output at 1.2v when 1.5v batteries should be used.

They often have a short life too.

Thank you. I’d read that a few places. Just seems odd that I’ve never had any issues with them for 18 months and now the only set that will work are the oldest, cheapest, most unreliable ones! 🤦🏻‍♂️
