Cannot pair remote control for 360 box to Panasonic TX-P46G20

Tried many of the main menu settings options to pair the 360 remote to control the TV volume but none are successful. Tried entering the TV description manually (Panasonic TX-P46G20) but the remote does not pair to the TV.   Also tried using alternatives but again the remote will not pair to the TV.    Is their another way or should the 360 remote be replaced?

Hi @RS2022

Have you tried new batteries? This has worked for a fair number of people.

Try entering P46G or 6G20 when in Settings > Audio & Video > Pair remote with devices > TV devices > Panasonic

Also try the key testing method, Audio & Video > Pair remote with devices > TV devices, but don't just accept the first one that appears to work. Try a few more as (like the older V6 and Tivo boxes) there are often 3 or 4 that will work, some more fully than others.

Hi, The 360 box and remote are brand new and control the 360 box fine.  Its just the TV pairing that will not succeed.  Tried all Panasonic options including manually entering P46G   P46G20 and tried alternative manufacturers but with no success.

If the 360 remote controls the 360 box just fine then seems to suggest that everything including  changing the volume is fine?

No sorry, the 360 remote changes channels and does all the required functions on the 360 box but nothing happens when the up/down or mute buttons are pressed.      When using the menu settings to pair the 360 remote so it can control the tv volume then it just fails to pair no matter what settings I use.

Hi again @RS2022

Have you also set up a soundbar?

If so then double check under Settings > Audio Video > Volume Keys Control  and make sure that it isn't set to (TV make) Amplifier instead of your TV make.

Failing that have you tried factory resetting the remote?

Pressing and holding the TV and Rewind button for 10 seconds will factory reset the TV 360 remote.

Following that to pair the 360 remote again hold down the 'TV' button and '0' button together until the Standby button starts to flash.
