When I pause live tv I find it doesn’t stay paused for long enough.Can it be extended?

Is this using the mini box, as it has no hard drive it can only buffer for around 3 minutes if you want to pause for longer you need to press record so it records on the main box, make sure the main box is set to fast or active start.
