Can I make the Guide text bigger

Roseyhue
On our wavelength

I have just downloaded Virgin 360 onto my V6 box and the text in the TV guide is much smaller than on the previous V6 TV guide.  We like to use the guide to see what is on each channel but if we can't read it because the text is too small, it just makes surfing the channels too difficult.  We don't have a massive 70 inch screen!!!

Hi  @Roseyhue

If you go into Settings > Profiles > Enlarged TV Guide > you can switch that to on and then access the enlarged TV Guide. you can also do the same by going to channel 555. Doing that though you may find that the text is too large.

Thanks for your really fast response.  Great.  I have tried it and I can see that both routes take you to the same place.  You are right, it is too big.  It only gives a window on one channel initially for just a couple of hours.  By scrolling right you can see the next channel for a couple of hours programmes etc.  Scrolling down gives visibility of programmes on that one channel later in the day.

What we really want is something like the "control +" capability that you get on Windows where you can enlarge screen picture in increments.

The old V6 box menu was great for an overview of about 10 channels across about 6 hours (I'm probably not exactly right on this because I can't access the old Guide anymore, but it gave a wide view and made visibility of choice so much better)  and it was acceptable for text size but this 360 menu is messed up by the banner at the bottom of the screen.  The V6 box had the banner down the side, including the thumbnail of the current TV programme (so you didn't miss anything while we surfed the evening ahead and selected programmes to record for the night).

As a further comment, finding things like settings via menus is a bit opaque.  The voice entry is the saviour and found it straight away.  I'm a bit old fashioned and like to know the site map plus a simple alphabetical index to find out how to do things.

My wife hogs both the handset and viewing time so playing around to find our how to find answers to get back to the main features we used on the V6 may take a while!!!  I will probably use this forum and anything else I can find on line!!  I'm sure we will like it in the end, its just finding where Virgin have buried it!!!!

Hi again @Roseyhue

It took me a couple of weeks to get used to the 360 compared to the V6 but now I find it's second nature.

The voice feature is great, when it understands my North East accent 🤣 but seriously any questions just create a post and we'll do our best to help.

There's some general help on the 360 towards the bottom of the following page

I'm sure that you are right.  Thanks again for your quick reply.  I have had a look at the link that you gave and that has been helpful, plus I have been looking at the features list for people with disabilities such as vision and hearing, so, very useful.

The picture quality is great!!

Thanks
