Yesterday while we were out the downstairs RCBO tripped. I was able to reset it after unplugging one of the Netgear Powerline extenders which connects the TV360 to the net hub. Unplugging everything else made no difference. Today I plugged the Powerline back in and it is working OK so I’m not sure about yesterday’s fault. I was going to leave the Powerline out but this resulted in a message over the screen on BBC channels saying “We've found a connection problem CS9996 You don't have an Ethernet connection between your Virgin TV box and your Hub etc”. This filled the screen making viewing impossible. If I dismissed the message it returned after a few seconds. I found I could switch to a WiFi connection, but my question is I can’t find a setting that lets me do away with the TV360-to-Hub 3 internet connection completely – obviously we don’t watch streaming services. Is there something I’ve missed? Thanks for any advice.

Hi @Roger_K
The CS 9996 error means you don't have an Ethernet connection between the 360 box and your Hub.
If you have left the ethernet cable plugged into the back of the 360 but not connected the other end to the hub or your powerline extender then the 360 will keep trying to make an ethernet connection.
If you remove the ethernet cable from the back of the 360 it will stop trying to make that connection and go straight to wifi, hence the error message will also disappear.

Hi Dave
Many thanks for your quick response. I had hoped there was a way to tell it not to make a connection either way, but seemingly not. However your info gets rid of the error message so thanks for that.
