CS6000

Hi,

My 360 box suddenly decided to pretty much die on me, and came up with this CS6000 code (something to do with the hard drive), and now it doesn’t work…

I have another box in my bedroom, but can’t access the recordings on my box, as they’re inaccessible due to the main box being out of action.

Whilst I’m waiting for an engineer to turn up (which isn’t until Saturday morning…), does anyone know of how I can switch the boxes, so my bedroom box can access the recordings…??

Assuming the second box is a mini box, it has no hard disk and relies on the main box for recordings.

With the main box broken, you have no recording capability.

But my recordings are still recording as normal…, so how is that possible…??

Sounds like you have a 360 and a mini box, all recordings are saved on the now faulty hard drive in the main 360 box so swapping the boxes around still won't allow you to watch the recordings because they are now unfortunately gone forever.

You will be able to record them again if they are shown again or they might be available on catchup.

How do know they are actually recording.

Cos I can still see the recordings list on the mini box TV, I just can’t watch them, and annoyingly, I can’t get rid of stuff I’ve watched while it has been off too…

They won't be being recorded, and you can't delete stuff because the main box has a faulty hard drive.

Well, it says they are, it doesn’t say “Failed recording” or anything like that…

I’ll have to wait until Saturday when it’ll hopefully be fixed…

Hi @JRRobinson,

Welcome to our community forums and thank you for your first posts.

Sorry to hear about your faulty TV Box. We are however glad to see that you have an upcoming appointment to resolve this. Are you able to further expand on what happened when you select a recording? Do you get an error message?

Thanks,

Hi,

At the moment it just says that I can’t play them because the other box is inoperable.

But, it claims they have been done, although I’m slightly doubting it now, as the capacity has remained at 95% since it went down on Sunday…

Hi JRRobinson,

Thank you for reaching back out, sorry to see you are still facing issues with your TV receiving error CS6000, I was able to check our end and can see the issue has cleared, how are things Today.

Regards

Paul.
