When I go to watch Netflix or prime on my virgin TV box, the sound doesn't work correctly. The voices of the films I try to watch is distorted and fast screeching noises like the noise a tape would make if you were rewinding it very fast

Have you tried changing the Audio setting.
Go to Settings > Audio & Video > Audio Output
3 options; Follow Content, PCM 5.1 (HDMI only), and PCM 2.0
Follow Content is recommended and also needed for bitstream audio like Dolby Atmos when it's available.

Hi thanks. I checked that out. It's already on follow content. It just seems to be Netflix and prime. All other apps like Disney YouTube etc work fine

Are you using a soundbar or is the sound problem through the TV speakers.

Have you tried connecting to a different HDMI connector on the TV or a different HDMI cable, don't connect the 360 to the TV's HDMI-ARC connector.

Thanks I'll give that a try

Make sure the HDMI cable is V2.0 or V2.1.
