All 360 Recordings Lost

Poddys
Dialled in

Came home after a day out to find our 360 box had no recordings and no shows set to record either.

We converted the V6 box to 360 back in April and everything has worked fine since, up to today.

The only thing I did yesterday was to switch HDMI cables between the 360 box and the tv, but didn't power the box off and that shouldn't have deleted the recordings in any case.

So we have lost multiple series that we hadn't watched and now can't, plus having been away for a week we now have to catch up on the ITV Hub which has "adverts from hell"! Very frustrated and I assume no way to get the recordings back!

You could try doing a factory reset and select the option to keep your recordings and see if they come back or accept the more likely option that your box is on it's way out, it might work for a while after a factory reset but at some point a call to Virgin will be required.

Software updates shouldn't cause this neither should auto delete being turned on.

Thanks. Might need to do that to avoid it in the future.
One of the worst things is not only losing recordings, but not having a list of those that were on there as well as the shows you had marked to record. Who of us actually keeps a list!
