360 box remote not working with LG tv

CrazeUK
Tuning in

Hi all.

I am new to Virgin and new to the 360.

I can't seem to get it to control my LG tv at all. Not even sound.

The TV model is 55UH625V

Hi @CrazeUK

When setting up the 360 remote it's generally the first 4 characters after the screen size that need to be entered.

Please try UH62 and if that doesn't work then try 625V

If you need to go via the key testing method then don't just accept the first one that suggests it's paired. There are often 3 or 4 variations that will pair, some more succesfully than the others.

Hi thanks for that.

I did try using both those codes, as well as the key testing, and there was nothing.

The TV it self is about 4 years old so assuming it's still relevant enough.

Is it possible to use tge universal remote codes?

Thanks

Hi thanks for your response.

No joy unfortunately

Hi @CrazeUK,

Thanks for the update, I'm sorry to hear things still aren't working. Can you please try the following:

- Turn the TV Box on
- Press and hold the TV + 0 button on your remote for 10 seconds

You should then see a notification advising that "Pairing is successful", from there, please head to Settings > Audio & Video > Pair Remote with Device and select Change TV Setup - you'll then be able to select the TV Manufacturer and setup the remote.

From there, please reboot your equipment by switching it off at the back of the TV Box, and then switching it back on after 10-15 seconds. Please let us know how things go.

Cheers,

Reece - Forum Team

Thank you.

Unfortunately no joy. Holding TV + 0 down for 10 seconds does nothing.

I'm so sorry to hear that this has not helped and thank you for letting us know!

I think it would be best to get a replacement remote out for you, I'll just pop you a PM so we can arrange this.

Keep an eye out for the purple envelope in the top right corner of your screen alerting you to a new message.

Thank you.

Thank you again for popping back to via the PM and I have ordered the remote for you now.

It should be with you in 3-5 working days. Are you able to let us know how things are looking after the remote arrives?

Brilliant thank you.

I definitely will follow the steps through again then update.
