Just got back from a fortnight's holiday and found that the 360 box will not turn on.

I have tried rebooting it 4 times

Button colour    Screen

Pink                     Welcome in multi languages

Pink                     Black

Pink                     Please Wait in multi languages 

Pink                     Black

Red                      Black / Nothing

Can anyone tell me what is happening?

Just tried launching a recording from my tablet and the 360 box has turned on and played the recording.
The remote batteries seem OK as I can turn the TV off and back on again. The link between the remote and the box seems to be broken. Any suggestions?

Just tried pairing the box and remote by pressing TV and 0 on the remote for 10 seconds. This did not work but removing and replacing the remotes batteries the link was restored
