360 activation problems no upgrade app

Hi I have been trying for some time to upgrade to 360, the first time involved 2 engineers visits have img both boxes changed and being left two remotes. But …. Even after several phone calls I never actually got the 360 upgrade. I decided to stick with two V6’s.

Then came the free upgrade offer, so I went for it, there was an interruption to my internet connection so something happened, but still no app appearing to do the upgrade. I’ve had email saying the upgrade has been processed but clearly it hasn’t.

Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it? I really don’t want to spend hours on the phone again to achieve nothing other than raise my blood pressure!

Hi @vrtual_climber

The upgrade should have automatically happened around 5 days after you received the 360 remotes if you hadn't started the upgrade process yourself..

You do need your V6 boxes to be connected to the internet so they can download the firmware. The upgrade app should then be pushed to your V6 boxes overnight. The upgrade app should then either appear on your Home Screen or in the All Apps section.

Hi @newapollo

Thanks for coming back to me.

That’s the whole problem, what should be happening isn’t.

Both boxes are online and something was done last night but the upgrade app isn’t appearing on either box.

Seriously wondering if the benefits are worth all this grief!

Hi

Just to update, a second set of remotes arrived and soon after the upgrade was available.

the upgrade failed, but a reboot and using the red button on the old remote forced the update through.

Thanks for the update Simon,

It's great to see that the 360 is now working.

There are a few helpful tips on using the 360 on <<< this page >>>  but if you have any questions or need help please create a new post and we'll do our best to oblige.

Thanks that link will be useful, there’s quite a bit to get your head round, if you are really going to get the full benefit of the upgrade

Hi again Simon,

You should soon get used to the differences. It took me a couple of weeks.
