unexpected charges for 'using the internet'

i have only just realised that i am being charged for 'using the internet'. i do not use the internet and seems to be as a result of being sent a phone when the sim changed.

 

how is this turned off - how can i get a refund

How to turn it off depends on the phone.

Different models. 

When you press the left key do you get a menu bar at the top? If so there is an icon to press to turn mobile data on or off

a day later - still being ripped off despite this being supposedly fixed by virgin support

I am sorry to hear that you are having some issues with your mobile services.

 

Are you able to let me know if you have managed to turn the internet off on the phone? 

 

We are able to look on this end if it can be disabled.

what i really want to know is when i am getting a refund as i have been ripped-off since August. i was told that there would be no difference to the service  but there is, as i have been charged £2m every time i turn the phone on

£20 in last month. cannot see before that on website but another 3 months so estimate £80. when i put in a complaint with the service team i was told that a 'manager'; would call me. this has not happened. i would expect that they would be able to view the full account and give an exact figure
