about 6 months ago I decided to cancel my Virgin mobile monthly contract. unfortunately at the time I wasn't able to recieve a PAC code through text message so I called their customer support line. During the call, with some difficulty, we got through my issue and I was assured that my contract would be cancelled in the next few days.
I actually ended up cancelling my direct debit after a week (bad move, I know) and never heard back from them so I thought everything was fine.
Now I got an email saying that my number is still active and on a rolling monthly contract, which I have not been paying hence it's probably in the hands of debt collectors and is affecting my credit score.
Throughout this time I have not been notified at all of this situation, either by Virgin nor any debt collecting agency. I have no idea what to do.
