sim not valid

Hi I have an old Nokia and have been sent a sim card with instructions to change  immediately, having done so i now have a message on screen Sim Not Valid, i have followed instruction on Virgin Media website and inputted IEMI number and have been informed the phone is not supported, i wished Virgin Media had informed me previously as i have just added another £10  credit making it a dead £11 i have in credit now.  Why couldn't Virgin Media inform all customers what phones would not be supported so people could make choices when credit was running out, instead of feeling that  once again customers have been conned.

Re: sim not valid

Hi Trev6 thanks for posting and welcome to our community.

I am sorry your handset is not compatible with our new SIM.  Do you know where you purchased the handset from originally?

Regards
