I am trying to put my sim card in a different device and it is asking for the sim lock code.

Can you please let me know where I can find this ?

Are you sure your other device is network unlocked? (Sounds like it isn't)

Welcome to the Community and thank you for posting. 

As enlli has advised, it does sound like the handset may possibly be locked to a network. 

If this is the case, you will need to contact the network provider directly to request an unlock code.

I checked with the hardware provider and they asked me to use the PUK code in this instance.

How do I find the PUK code?

You can find your PUK in your online account, however that's only for unlocking a SIM where the PIN has been entered incorrectly three times.

How to get PUK code to unlock my phone

• Sign in on your Virgin Mobile account and find your code in: Plan & Device > Summary.
• Enter your PUK code on your phone's lock screen.

If it doesn't work don't keep entering it as you will lock the SIM permanently
