My mum phone which is on a Pay Monthly Sim Card only keep coming up with 'sim card updating' every now during the day, on her phone (TTfone TT200) hasn't moved and never noticed it before, it normally right in front of me, so I would notice it.
I did noticed when I restarted the phone it came up with Vodefone UK then Virgin.
My mobile (Samsung S9) on a pay monthly contact isn't doing this and it, in the same room.
PS. If Virgin need to lookup the account, these 2 mobiles are not associated with the email address on forum account.

This may be happening with your mum's phone because the SIM is being or has been migrated. This along with the phone being a bit older and on a simpler OS, may be the reason for the notification. A replacement SIM might fix this. Have you been able to speak with a member of the team since your post?
