I received a new sim, but could not make it work with my treasured clamshell VM665 that I got from Virgin many years ago.
I tried everything suggested and could not get an unlock code. The screen just said "Network Key?" continually. The web site help pages were of no use at all. Finally I tried the automated voice help service. It seemed promising when it told me to enter the mobile's number for identification. Then came the final blow " We will send a text message to your number to tell you what to do next, Goodbye". Durr?
I'm flummoxed and my phone is dead with £18 of credit that I can't use! From reading other posts on this subject I guess that my phone is probably 2G and is now obsolete.
