new SIM problems

I have received a new SIM like lots of other people and tried it, but the phone does not work once the new SIM is inserted. Have tried various methods of contacting Virgin to speak with someone, but with no success as yet. No replies to any messages or emails and phone calls get cut off. I have a very old Samsung and it's not a smartphone, which may be the reason why the new SIM does not work. I'm worried that sooner or later, my phone will stop working. Perhaps Virgin will finally respond to my latest contact with them, but in the meantime, if anyone has any ideas or advice, that would be great Thanks

Hi Zak - thanks for checking. It's not arrived yet, but perhaps delayed with the Bank Holiday.

Hi Zak - no, still not here, which is becoming a bit of an issue. The old phone seems to have been shut down now as I can't text out and it's not receiving incoming calls or texts, so I'm left without a phone. I don't really want to use my work phone for personal stuff, so I'm at a loose end now.

Can you confirm the address that the phone has been sent to please? As I said before, my old phone should not have been turned off before I'd confirmed that the new one had arrived. I've had several emails from people saying they have been trying to contact me and think I'm being rude not replying. i also use that number for confirmation texts form my bank, so I can't access these either at the moment. I'd be grateful for swift confirmation of what's going on. Thank you.
