landline and mobile

I have recently signed up to Virgin with a basic package to which I have added an Ommph for my mobile. I cannot find anywhere that the PAC number has been received and will transfer both my landline and mobile number from my current supplier.

I am waiting for my sim to arrived do I install it when it arrives or when the engineer arrives on the 22nd when my package goes live?

am a silver surfer not very tech savvy and am feeling very confused over this move under the present Coronavirus situation

I am sorry for any confusion around 

The PAC to allow you to bring your number across to Virgin Mobile would be provided from your existing provider. You will be charged for your bundle (all aspects of it) from the moment it goes live, however if you prefer to continue to with your existing provider until the number transfers to Virgin Mobile that may be the best thing for you.  With regards to this. We can only bring your number across, when you do provide us with your PAC.
