iPhone and WiFi

I have a brand new iPhone 11 Max. I live in an area advertised by Virgin as having 4G connectivity but at home I have no signal at all other than 1 bar in one upstairs room. I have super fast Virgin Broadband and my TV and home phone are all Virgin. So, at home, my phone is just a 'dumb' device for reading email and getting onto the internet. I can't even use Messages. I've contacted Virgin but they didn't even bother to reply so I thought I'd put the issue up here in case anyone has any ideas/tips.

Many thanks

Re: iPhone and WiFi

Coverage Checkers are always a computer generated 'guestermate'. I have similar problems. Right in the middle of a good area there is a patch about 500x500 meters where it is dire.

You should be able to use WiFi calling on that model and if it is not working then it needs to be turned on their end.

Re: iPhone and WiFi

Many thanks; trying to get Virgin to talk to me, which is difficult since SMS won’t work!
