For the past 2 days, iMessage on my virgin iPhone 7 has stopped working with my virgin mobile number. It works with my iCloud email but my phone number has the endless timer rotating and won’t activate.
Mice tried everything. Sign out and back in of iCloud account, reset network settings, hard reset of iPhone, toggled iMessage and FaceTime in and off a zillion times but still not working.
My imessage has not worked since Thursday. My phone, an iphone 6, showed a message of "apple ID locked", after entering my password my phone was ok except for the imessage. Imessage works through my email address but not phone number. When I message my wife the imessage shows it to be sent from "maybe Steve". It' interesting that other people are having issues. I've found it frustrating as I've reset, restored my phone several times and it's still not sorted the issue.
I have the same issue... has anyone found a solution yet?
I have called Apple support who say its a Virgin issue. I have called Virgin customer services 4 times, on two occasions i was cut off and on the other two i was assured someone from the specialist technical dept would call me back - but needless to say no one called.
Seriously annoyed, thinking about taking my business elsewhere!!
Got the same issue. Just spent half an hour on a call to Apple, went through every known fix to man, nothing worked. They said I should contact my mobile provider which I will do in a bit, but interesting to see others suffering from this. Come on VM, step up
