Transferred number from another provider. AppleID shows my number but iMessage and FaceTime still show the number of the sim

Hi there Fernie136,
Thanks for your post and welcome to the community.
Just to clarify, has the number transferred through successfully?
Also you'll need to update the iMessage number to the correctly designed phone number through by going to;
- Settings
- Messages
- Then Send & Receive.
Let us know if that helps,

The number has transferred ok. I can ring my iPhone but no texts are being received
I have tried send / receive countless times.
“an error occurred during activation”

Thanks for the response,
Did you check the setting above that was advised?
If so does that also state the new number?

Thanks @Fernie136, if you access the Settings on your iPhone, you should then be able to manually update the phone number to the one you have ported over to us and this should then register for the iMessage and FaceTime applications.
A rebooting of the handset may be required.
Kindest regards,

Also try switching off your phone, signing out of you Apple ID before starting your phone and signing in again.

Won’t let me edit it. Tried that before posting. Reboot last night and phone switched off for at least 8 hours

Thanks for coming back to us @Fernie136, can you please confirm what handset you're using and what software is currently installed on the handset?
Are there any software update currently due?
