There seems to be a lot of information on e-sims available and not available. I had a physical sim and yesterday was issued with an e-sim no problem. They emailed me the QR code and hey presto all good to go. I managed to do all this via the WhatsApp team for Virgin Mobile.
I’ve already been migrated over to the O2 side of things. If this makes any difference.
