Zone 1 charges

I was travelling to the USA. I turned off roaming but left mobile data on. I just checked my bill and it’s charged me for zone 1 internet usage but I never used it and I don’t know what zone 1 is as I flew direct to usa. I only use phone via wifi services. Why was I charged. It says £38 on the day I was travelling.

Re: Zone 1 charges

Hey @Deenardi,

Welcome back to the community and thanks for taking the time to post.

I'm sorry to hear that you have been charged that amount, zone 1 is the tariff zone that the USA is in.

If your data is still turned on, your device will connect to a network, you would need to fully turn off mobile data, if you dont want your device to connect to any networks.

Regards,

Thanks for the reply. Ive now turned off mobile data. I just found it strange I was charged as I didn’t use the internet or anything. I used the airport wifi. Still confused tbh. Thanks again.
