We arrived in India and for the first time my phone did not connect automatically to a partner network.
Before we left, we made sure the going abroad and roaming options in the manage services section of our virgin account were set up correctly.
I have checked the APN is se to virgin.
I have tried numerous variations of turning mobile data and roaming off and on. I have tried to select the network manually - it shows 5 networks are available:
Vi India, Reliance, IND-JIO, IND airtel and 404 68
I have tried every one of them but the phone won’t connect to any
My husband is also having the same trouble we are both with Virgin and have iPhones (14 pro and 11 pro)
I need to be contactable at all times, not just when wifi is available. Because we had no connection our pre-booked transfer was unable to contact us to pick us up from the airport and we ended up having to pay for a taxi!
Can someone please help? This is so frustrating as we have never had this issue before
