Wifi calling set up and works fine, but stops overnight. My iPhone (13 Mini iOS16.0.2 - all up to date) is in Sleep Focus overnight and when it wakes up, the wifi calling doesn't work.
If I go outside and pick up a mobile signal, all is good again, but there is no signal in the house (notwithstanding the coverage checker's assertions otherwise).
Wife's iPhone 8 is the same.
Is there a way to keep the wifi calling 'active'? This is really a deal-breaker

Hi notStaying,
Thank you for your post and welcome to our forums 🙂
I have the iPhone 14, and have WiFi calling and also sleep focus. My WiFi calling stays on since I selected it through settings, what IOS are you running?
Have you spoken to apple regarding this issue if you are only having issues with apple devices?

I haven't had a chance to trawl but Google search for "WiFi switches off overnight" pulls up a lot of hits. Seems an iPhone thing. One suggestion is to turn off WiFi Assist

I hadn’t thought this was an Apple problem, mostly I guess because it all worked swimmingly with Vodafone.
the Wi-Fi is still connected in sleep focus I think, as it still collects emails

I don’t think the Wi-Fi switches off as email still arrives while the phone sleeps. I didn’t see any relevant hits for “Wi-Fi calling switches off” but I’ll have another look.
I’ll try Wi-Fi assist off but I can’t see that helping - if there was a mobile signal I imagine the Wi-Fi calling would restart, as it does when I first go outside

Thanks @notStaying and please let us know if you have any luck turning WiFi assist off.

Possibly I should change my username - this problem was never resolved and I decided to cut my losses and change provider.
The 2 hours on chat without reaching the 'expert' (aka human) pretty much clinched it.
