Wifi calling on A71

Mobile service not great at home so looking to get a phone that has wifi calling.  Getting mixed messages from Virgin Media online so can anyone say for sure that if I get a new A71 from Virgin Media then I will be able to use WiFi calling?

Re: Wifi calling on A71

It won't work with Virgin Mobile as its not a model listed as compatible at this time.

Re: Wifi calling on A71

Ok so here's the confusion.  From devicesupport.virginmedia.com for the A71.

1.From the home screen swipe either up or down to access apps.
2.Tap Settings.
3.Tap Connections.
4.Tap Mobile networks.
5.Tap the switch next to the menu item VoWiFi calls to enable or disable VoWiFi calls.

Re: Wifi calling on A71

It is confusing. Have Virgin added more phones and failed to update the Website (I know the P60 Pro has worked) or is one part of the Website contradicting the other?

With Virgin both scenarios are possible.

Re: Wifi calling on A71

Obviously not going to get an answer.  Well unimpressed.  Loads of pointless emails from 'the team' and no response to the actual question.  Yawn!

This was set up as a Community Forum with light touch from Virgin. It can take anything from 3 days to a week to get a team response..

Re: Wifi calling on A71

Thanks for that info enlli, I guess since I got a very quick reply to the original question from jb66 I thought I'd get an equally quick one to the follow up. I suspect jb66 is a bot!

No, he is a customer like me. Some of us help out round here on a regular basis but we have no access to Virgin Systems

Re: Wifi calling on A71

Hi Robjackzn,

Thanks for your post and welcome to our community.

Sorry for the delay in getting back in touch, we have been busier than usual.

WiFi calling is currently only supported on certain handsets which I can see you've been given the link too previously, the link should be up to date.

However this doesn't mean that WiFi calling won't work or won't work in the future as we're always adding new devices. But it does mean we're limited in how we can support you if you're using a device that isn't currently supported.

If you want us to make sure that WiFi calling is enabled on your account for future use then do let us know.
