WiFi calling does not work

Hello,

I'm a new Virgin mobile customer. I signed up the other week. I have an iPhone 7, which has the WiFi calling option in the settings; this is turned on.

WiFi calling, does not work. I have no WiFi calling message in the corner, and in my house (where signal is almost impossible to get) I can't receive SMS or make calls, whilst connected to WiFi.

 

I've tried this on multi WiFis and still get the same problem.

 

I never received a text from Virgin about WiFi calling, which I think it meant to be the case when you enable this feature.

 

I tried contacting Virgin via live chat, and they just told me to restart m device (the usual tech steps) and then said they'd transfer me. I waited an hour, and nobody replied, so ended the chat.

 

How do I resolve a problem, with an incompetent company?

 

Virgin in experience have been terrible with resolving tech issues and complaints.

From other posts it sound like it needs activation on your account.

Sometimes doesn't happen with non Virgin purchased phones

Not really, everything is 789 or the text service

You have to be very simple with them along the lines of "I have a compatible phone and I need you to make sure WiFi Calling is activated on my account."
