Having exact same problem and thought it was my phone.

I've emailed their new CEO. I doubt I'd get very far to be honest.
I've just joined VM for **bleep**!
Any ideas who we would need to poke to get this issue sorted out. The VM team here are quite useless. Not even a clear diagnosis yet.
They just keep saying it's with IT every time I Chase them.

I'm due to receive a call back tomorrow from someone who will probably read a guide at me. I suppose they'll tell me that standing on one leg for a few minutes will fix the issue.

I feel this should be getting much more attention than is it. Regular updates wouldn't go amiss either, if only to say there's been no development.
Tried this, Didn't work and you can't do the same for other apps so it's clearly not just WhatsApp.
Can someone download "PNF No-Root" from the play store, change your heartbeat interval to "2 minutes" and then test throughout the day.
Issue has gone away for me and receiving "push" notifications.
I'm not 100% sure if this has resolved it yet.
Lets see what happens. I keep intending to move provider but I keep hanging on just incase they fix it!
