Voicemail not working abroad

Hi, I am in Colombia and have been unable to check my voicemail. I have spent about £15 calling customer support, first to reset my pin I didn’t know I had and then to ask for the number to call for the voicemail because when I press on the VM icon I just hear a dead line. The person on the line told me told hold 1 and that would work but it doesn’t!? Please help!! It’s has been 4+ weeks

No, the dead tone is after dialing the voicemail number... after my pin was reset by Virgin I could not longer even get into the voicemail. I have not been able to even set the new pin

Thanks for your post on our Community Forums and a very warm welcome to you!

 

Has this been resolved since your post on Monday, or is this still on going?

 

If you're still having a problem with the voicemail service, can you please advise me if you set up the voicemail features on the handset before leaving the UK or if this has only been done whilst abroad?

Hi, no it has not been resolved. I am now back in the UK and my SIM is not working at all. I have no signal... can you please help ASAP as this is the only phone line I have.

Really sorry for the delays in responding to your post Nav_ale, have you been able to get the SIM up and running again since your post?

 

If not, can you check a couple of things for us:

 

  • In the settings of your handset what network is showing?
  • Are you able to change from either automatic to manual and select the Virgin option from the networks listed?
  • Have you received a bill or notification you have exceeded your credit limit at all?
