Voicemail icon won’t clear

My iPhone 11 has a missed call and associated voicemail icon that won’t clear, despite me having no new or saved messages. I’ve tried the other solutions suggested on this forum for similar past questions (going to vm greetings option 3 then 2 to switch off message alerts and then rebooting: also switching ‘badges’ on and off in iPhone notification settings and rebooting) and no joy. It is SO annoying. Can you advise?

Thanks for your Post on the forums, I am sorry you're having an issue with this phantom voicemail icon, I can certainly see why that would be so irritating! 

What iPhone do you have please? 

Also, did you purchase this from ourselves?

Have you spoken with Apple's customer services about this issue yet? If so, what did they say? 

I do have some simple advice that has worked for some customers in the past, please follow these instructions -

• On your iPhone, go to Settings > Notifications > scroll down and tap Phone turn off Badges and wait about a minute and then turn it back on. Then, go to Settings > Notifications > Phone and turn off Badges.

Please let me know if this works and give me the answers to my questions 🙂
