Voicemail icon stays on screen

I realise there are earlier posts on this but I’ve tried all the suggestions and still cannot get rid of the voicemail icon even although there are no messages. I have an SE2 iPhone.

Re: Voicemail icon stays on screen

Hi Doug75

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community.

I am sorry to hear you have the voicemail notification appearing when there are no new messages.

This has also happened to myself in the past and I have found that a restart of the phone does help to remove the icon.

On checking on the manufacture Forums, a reboot does often resolve the issue but if this continues to be a problem, please let us know as we will need to take a look from our side.

Thanks

Nat

Re: Voicemail icon stays on screen

Good afternoon Doug75

Thanks for coming back to us and apologies for the delayed reply.

Can you get someone to call you, or you call your own mobile, leave a voicemail. Then listen to it, then delete it. That will sort it 🙂

Kind regards,

Re: Voicemail icon stays on screen

Thanks for providing those details and clearing data protection, Doug75,

I have reset your voicemail services for you. This may trigger a voicemail notification or text message to your phone, please disregard this.

Make sure there are no unheard/saved messages in the mailbox. Leave yourself another voicemail. When you receive the notification, listen to your voicemail entirely then delete.

Let us know how it goes,

Cheers,

Corey C

Re: Voicemail icon stays on screen

Thanks for replying. As the voicemail service has been cleared, are you able to to remove the SIM or try the SIM in another device? If you have another phone to put the SIM in, did the voicemail icon appear on this phone? If you just remove the SIM from the phone, is the icon still on the phone?

Cheers,

Corey C

Re: Voicemail icon stays on screen

I don’t have another device to try the SIM card.

when I remove the SIM card from the phone the icon is not there.

if the problem can’t be solved then I suppose I’ll just have to live with it .

anyway thanks for your efforts !
