Virgin sim 6 months old and not installed?

I received my Virgin mobile sim last June and have never installed it. I was Ill at the time and had other things to do. I am now ready to do it but note that the letter that accompanied the sim said that it timed out after 14 days 

Does this mean that I cannot now start the process of installing and setting up etc?

I have tried to contact Virgin Support in person but it would be easier to swim the Atlantic.

I am so sorry that you have faced this issue regarding your SIM unfortunately this would need to be activated within 14 days but we can look into getting a replacement SIM sent out.
