Virgin mobile will not receive incoming calls from the US

Hello all,

for the last few days our virgin mobile has stopped  receiving incoming calls from the US. it does receive texts from the US

the UK phone doesnt ring and it doesnt go to VM.

The US caller just hears the US single "brrrr"  tone, it never changes to the UK "bring bring"

Our virgin mobile still receives UK calls.

the US caller can call a non virgin UK mobile in the same house/location at the same time the UK mobile will not ring.

Phone has been restarted.

US phone carrier is TMobile

Again, this is for incoming calls from the US

Please advise.

thanks!

Re: Virgin mobile will not receive incoming calls from the US

Good afternoon @drbenway

Welcome back to the forums and thank you for taking the time to post.

I am sorry to hear that you have had some issues with receiving calls.

Has anything changed on your account recently? Have you been able to receive any of the calls since the migration form EE to Vodafone?

Kind regards,

Zak_M

Re: Virgin mobile will not receive incoming calls from the US

thanks for the reply

coverage/reception is not as good since the network change, but we have still received [multiple] calls daily from the US caller.

and we can still get US texts and UK calls/texts

the issue started with US calls in the last couple of days but the US caller can call other UK mobile networks

thanks

Re: Virgin mobile will not receive incoming calls from the US

Thank you for confirming.

Just to double check, you haven't changed phones or any settings on your device (that has the VM sim in)?

Kind regards,

Re: Virgin mobile will not receive incoming calls from the US

thanks for the reply

no settings have been changed on the phone,

it just affects US calls from US Tmobile

US texts from Tmobile come through, so that would indicate the US number has not been blocked.

the last day calls came through was March 11 7.30pm UK time [from call logs]

calls dont go to VM, so it seems not a UK phone coverage/reception issue

thanks again

Re: Virgin mobile will not receive incoming calls from the US

Hi @drbenway

Thanks for the reply

Do you experience issues with receiving calls from anywhere else at all?

If nothing has been changed on your side this could very well be an issue with the US callers network as you can receive them from everywhere else which is strange.
