Virgin media directory enquiries

Is 118180 still free from Virgin Mobiles just like the landline service?

Not anymore, it must be about 2 years now since the mobile side started charging for 118180 😞

Re: Virgin media directory enquiries

Thanks for that. Ofcom are imposing a cap on Directory services to £3.60 per 90 seconds. Still expensive but Virgin should block all 118 numbers except there own.

TalkTalk are to play a recorded message stating how much a 118 number will cost and again they should block access to all of them except there own as many are too expensive!

Re: Virgin media directory enquiries

From a Virgin monthly sim, the cost at present is

Calls to Virgin Media Directory
Enquiries (118180)
150p per minute plus 58p per
minute access charge

That was a big jump from being free 😲

Re: Virgin media directory enquiries

The service is now outsourced to BT by the way. Probably costed them money.

The number I was looking for was not on Google anyway I used 118141 from a BT payphone so I don’t get a big bill I inserted £1.50. 118141 is only available on BT payphones.
