Re: Virgin Media Pay As You Go is ending 22nd July 2020

Not unexpected as they have not sold new PAYG for some time

The £5 per month deal is anything but generous compared to other networks

Re: Virgin Media Pay As You Go Closure

Other networks offer much better value than Virgin's suggested £5 deal. Users who aren't bothered about data can get unlimited calls and texts for £5/month on O2, or 500MB/250mins/unlimited texts on EE, both on PAYG.

PS. @Virgin "You can switch over to one of our fuss-free monthly plans. Check them out virginmedia.com/leaveus." 'leaveus' is the wrong link for the monthly plans, it is linked to later in the article for those who want to get a PAC code and leave. and it doesn't work anyway.

Re: Virgin Media Pay As You Go Closure

Virgin Mobile really should have given more notice. I only heard about it by accident via a 3rd party, there should be official notification.

Ridiculous that the Leave link doesn't work. Just goes to an Ooops message.

They should really take that page down if it is indeed postponed.

No date. VIPs will be told beforehand. The whole SIM migration is behind schedule as some people genuinely could not swap during this outbreak

Re: Virgin Media Pay As You Go Closure

Typical of VM...

leave this bombshell until the last minute, (let people know end of June, that in 30 days you will be disconnected unless you change to a monthly sim)..

BUT..if you don't know about this post, tucked discretely away in a corner of the site, (how many won't!!!) then the only warning you will get is..'a text nearer the time' ...like 'how much nearer...24 hours knowing VM...

Again, shows the total disregard that VM has for their 'customers'

I have no problem with the actual closing of PAYG, but...the timing, and the actual communicating of this to those affected beggars belief, again.

VM's 'customer service' (disgracefully poor as it is) stinks.....period..
