Can a Virgin media SIM be used on a phone locked to O2 without unlocking it?

if it's O2 locked then No. Virgin SIM cards are a different animal.

Hi @Andyjenk3 thanks for your post here in the community.

@enlli has just beaten me to it - but yes that is correct, unfortunately as long as any handset (including O2) is registered to another network and locked, another provider's SIM Card cannot be used in that handset.
