Using phone in Australia

Can anyone tell me what settings I need to change to stop being charged for calls recieved while Im in Austrailia please. I will not be using my phone to make calls back to the UK,  but would still like to be able to receive texts.

Last time I got charged for recieving calls and for voicemail messages.

You can turn your Voicemail off BEFORE traveling but you can't separate out incoming calls from texts.
