Using mobile in Canada

Can I make calls in Canada to their freephone numbers with no cost to me?  I have to make several calls to confirm bookings when travelling & am worried about my mobile bill.

Canadian Freephone numbers will only be free from Canadian Networks, so they will be chargeable
