Using a 4G SIM card in a 5G phone

Hello,

I shall be replacing my mobile phone soon which has a 4G SIM card. If I buy a 5G phone can anyone confirm that if I transfer this 4G SIM card it will work without any problems on the 4G network on the new 5G phone? I realise that until I upgrade to a 5G SIM card, it won't actually operate on the 5G network.

Yes it will work. However, you may find it works on 5G anyway. Most of the SIM cards produced recently do anyway.
